Sports and Health Insurance: Soccer with Cobi Jones

He is an American soccer player who has seen both played in both the World Cup and the professional teams. After playing in high school in Southern California he went to join the team at UCLA. While he started out as a non-scholarship athlete he later went on to become one of its most successful graduating players. Following his time in college he participated in the 1994 World Cup. Then signed to play in 1995 with the Coventry City, England’s premier soccer league. Following successful and impressive performances with a Brazilian club he sign to play for the Los Angeles Galaxy in their initial season as a franchise for Major League Soccer. In 1998 he had his best year as a player and was second in the MLS and was to the MLS Best IX. Later he was named the US Soccer Athlete of the year in 2005. As of March 2007 he announced he would retired from being a player at the end of the season. Then he and went on to become the teams assistant coach. While he was a player he had a career 306 appearances and 70 goals that were both club records. Among his other accomplishments he is the current all time leader of the United States men’s national team with 164 appearances. And he did play in the 1994, 1998 and the 2002 World Cups.

In addition he was named the best XI at the 2000 CONCACAF Gold Cup and won with the National team at the 2000 CONCACAF Gold Cup. For a while during the time that the coach of the Los Angeles Galaxy resigned he filled in as head coach until the new one arrived. He continues to remain an essential part of the soccer world and the professional level of play. It all reflects his talent and commitment to the sports.

Even a person how is able to make the transition for player to coach is not safe from the risks to his or her health. Which is why anyone in such positions will always appreciate the need for adequate health care insurance. It is the team that any person, regardless of abilities should consider joining because you never know when the one time will come when some illness or injury will keep you from participating in what you enjoy doing the most. And it is so easy to get the coverage that allows you to be spared the possible financial issues that come from not being covered.
