There are many different things that come into play when you are looking at payroll accounting for a business. You need to know the difference between salaries and wages, bonuses and commissions, overtime pay, all of the different taxes and of course you will need to know about the paid benefits that your employer has for all of its employees. Each one of these gets broken down since there are different levels for each one. For example, salaries are a set amount for an employee regardless of the hours and wages could mean that there is some overtime.
